Eligibility
Admission Policy
Only completed applications are reviewed – you must push ‘submit’ on the online application portal for your application to be evaluated. Students will be admitted by, and at the discretion of, field school director(s). Once admitted, the only way to secure a space in any program is by payment of the nonrefundable Deposit Fee ($500). Admitted students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A Tuition Deadline date is set for and posted on each program web page. If any balance is left on the student account past the tuition payment deadline, a one time, $100 Late Fee will be posted to that account.
Please consult our Cancellation Policy for further information. Programs will close to further enrollment once they reach capacity.

Mature Students
The IFR welcomes mature students. Our programs are designed primarily for college students and are populated primarily by young adults. While most field schools have access to one type of accommodation only, some programs can offer private, separate accommodations for a minimal fee. Email us at info@ifrglobal.org or call directly to (877) 839-4374 Ext. 100 for consultation or further advice about finding the program that will best fit your intellectual and personal interests.
Academic Credits
Participating students earn 8 semester credit units (equivalent to 12 quarter credit units) from our partner university – Connecticut College – and a letter grade. Consult our Academic Credits & Transcripts page for details.
